As an Ads Scams Analyst, your primary focus will be on mitigating offline scams that occur outside the Google Ads Platform. You will utilize data-driven approaches to inform product recommendations and develop innovative solutions, both globally and locally, to preempt fraudulent activities. A key responsibility includes ensuring legitimate advertisers have optimal opportunities to serve their audiences. This position also involves leveraging Applied AI and machine learning techniques to enhance human review efficiency and identify areas for automation and enforcement improvements.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Legal, to advance projects that enhance user safety and improve the online experience through Google Ads.
Execute intricate data queries and analyses, develop insightful visual models, and construct compelling presentations on abuse trends to support fraud prevention efforts and drive improvements in existing abuse detection systems, without negatively impacting advertiser experience.
Conduct thorough investigations to identify and apprehend fraudsters, enforce product policies, uncover scam patterns and trends, and pinpoint vulnerabilities within products.
Proactively identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains, driving the implementation of solutions through rigorous analysis and strategic cross-functional partnerships.
Participate in periodic on-call rotations and manage escalations from both internal and external stakeholders within defined service level agreements. Please note, this role may involve occasional exposure to sensitive content during investigations.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in data analytics, trust and safety, policy development, cybersecurity, or a closely related field is essential.
Demonstrated experience in data analysis and effective stakeholder management is a must.
