As a T&S Ads Scams Analyst, your primary focus will be protecting users from scams originating outside the Google Ads platform. You will utilize data-driven insights to guide product development and create effective solutions, both globally and locally, to stay ahead of evolving fraud tactics. Ensuring legitimate advertisers have appropriate opportunities to serve will also be a key responsibility. You'll employ advanced techniques such as Applied AI and machine learning to optimize review processes and identify areas for enforcement and automation improvements. Collaboration with diverse teams will be essential to achieving business objectives and leading projects from inception to completion.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Legal, to spearhead projects that enhance user safety and improve the online experience via Google Ads.
Execute intricate queries and analyses, develop visual models, and compile presentations on abuse trends to bolster fraud prevention efforts and influence changes in existing detection systems without negatively impacting advertiser experience.
Conduct thorough investigations to apprehend fraudsters, enforce product policies, understand emerging scam patterns, and identify product vulnerabilities.
Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains, driving the implementation of solutions through data analysis or cross-functional partnerships.
Provide periodic on-call support and manage escalations from internal and external stakeholders within established service level agreements, acknowledging the potential for exposure to adult or disturbing content.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
Four years of experience in data analytics, trust and safety, policy, cybersecurity, or a closely related domain.
Demonstrated experience in data analysis and effective stakeholder management.
