Provide strong technical leadership, championing best engineering practices across YouTube.

Offer technical mentorship and support to Technical Leads and Managers, aiding in critical technical decisions.

Co-own the delivery of OKRs and roadmaps with team leadership.

Drive cross-organizational collaboration to ensure integrated strategies and aligned decisions that foster differentiation.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.

Eight years of dedicated software development experience is essential.

Seven years of experience building large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks is necessary. Alternatively, extensive experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture will be considered.

Three years of full-stack development experience, encompassing back-end technologies like Java, Python, or C++, and front-end skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, is required.

Preferred qualifications include a Master’s or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

Eight years of experience with data structures and algorithms.

Five years in a technical leadership role, managing project teams and setting technical direction.

Three years of experience navigating complex, matrixed organizations and collaborating on cross-functional or cross-business projects.
