Architect and lead the development of internet-scale, highly distributed systems and scalable services for the HRIS team. You'll actively contribute through hands-on coding in Python, Golang, or Java, and provide visionary technical leadership to enhance engineering best practices and adopt advanced technologies. Design systems to handle millions of users with high performance and reliability. Implement robust API strategies, encompassing both analytical and transactional storage solutions, and ensure high availability with stringent SLAs. Drive innovation by building and integrating streaming and workflow systems, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects.

We are seeking a seasoned Staff Engineer with over 15 years of experience in building and operating large-scale backend, distributed, or platform systems. A deep programming expertise in Golang, Java, or Python is essential, alongside strong fundamentals in backend architecture, including API design, data modeling, and system reliability. Proven experience in developing internal platforms or foundational systems is highly valued. You should possess strong operational ownership capabilities, including observability, incident response, and capacity planning. The ability to lead complex architectural initiatives and influence engineering direction without direct authority is key. You should be comfortable balancing hands-on coding with architectural and leadership responsibilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for design documents and cross-team alignment.
