As a technical leader, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of Persistent Disk, Google Cloud's block storage solution. You'll manage a team dedicated to providing reliable and exceptional storage for low-latency and high-throughput workloads, enhancing data protection capabilities for disaster recovery, high availability, and backup.

Develop and drive the long-term technical vision and roadmap for your teams, anticipating future requirements and infrastructure needs. Oversee system designs and review code to solve complex, ambiguous problems, ensuring adherence to best practices for style, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required. Candidates must possess 8 years of programming experience in C++.

Significant experience is needed in building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks, as well as expertise in compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture (7 years).

Proven experience in a technical leadership role (5 years) and a people management or team leadership capacity (5 years) is essential.

Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree or PhD in a related technical field and 5 years of experience within complex, matrixed organizations, along with expertise in cloud storage or cloud infrastructure.
