As a Software Engineering Manager, you'll combine technical prowess with leadership acumen. You will guide engineers across multiple teams and locations, manage significant product budgets, and spearhead the deployment of large-scale international projects. Your role involves not just optimizing code but also empowering your team to achieve peak performance and strategic objectives.

Define and communicate team priorities aligned with overarching organizational goals. Ensure strategy, processes, and decisions are harmonized across teams. Set explicit individual expectations based on role and level, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to discuss performance, development, and provide constructive feedback. Develop and evolve long-term technical visions and roadmaps that extend beyond your team's immediate scope, anticipating future requirements and infrastructure needs. Oversee system designs within your designated area and meticulously review product or system development code to resolve complex and ambiguous problems. Critically review code written by fellow engineers, offering feedback to uphold best practices such as style guidelines, efficient code integration, accuracy, testability, and performance.

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is required. Minimum of 8 years in software development, proficiency in languages like Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript is essential. Possess at least 5 years of experience in a technical leadership capacity. A minimum of 5 years in a people management or team leadership role is necessary.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field. Experience of 5 years in a complex, matrixed organizational structure is also advantageous.
