Provide deep technical expertise throughout the software development lifecycle, from design to implementation and support of enterprise-scale solutions within the RxClaim ecosystem.
Collaborate across IBM i (AS/400) applications, high-volume batch processing systems, APIs, event-driven integrations, and modern Java-based services.
Partner closely with architects, product teams, business stakeholders, and other engineering teams to drive strategic modernization initiatives.
Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and business directives, including those related to work location, team assignments, and flexible work arrangements.
A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience is required, along with at least 3 years of dedicated COBOL application development experience in an enterprise setting.
Candidates must possess 2+ years of Java application development experience and demonstrate solid experience with COBOL, DB2, Batch Processing, and Production Support.
Proficiency in working within Agile and SDLC methodologies is essential. Advanced knowledge of COBOL (CBL/CBLLE), CLLE, DB2 for i, Java, Spring Framework, RESTful APIs, and distributed application architectures is expected.
Proven analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills are critical. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required.
Preferred qualifications include experience integrating legacy systems with modern platforms, cloud technologies, automation frameworks, and AI-assisted development practices.
