This role is key to shaping the future of enterprise-scale applications and platforms within Optum. You will be instrumental in driving innovation and excellence in engineering.

Key responsibilities include defining and driving architecture for enterprise-scale applications, designing scalable and resilient cloud-native solutions, and leading the development of APIs and backend services. You will establish engineering standards, drive cloud modernization, and lead DevOps and SRE initiatives. Conducting architecture and design reviews, partnering with cross-functional teams, and mentoring senior engineers are also vital. Furthermore, you will champion innovation, automation, and performance optimization.

Candidates should possess a B.Tech or MS in computer science or a related field, with a minimum of 9 years of software engineering experience, including over 5 years leading large-scale technical initiatives. Essential experience includes architecting enterprise distributed systems, implementing DevOps and CI/CD practices, and a solid grasp of security, resiliency, and operational excellence. Proven expertise in Python, cloud architectures (GCP/AWS/Azure), Kubernetes, and container platforms is required, along with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
