Lead the design and development of advanced video editing features and AI-powered media generation tools for the YouTube Create app.

Drive the technical roadmap for client app infrastructure, managing complex projects like media engine migrations and reliability frameworks.

Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams to translate product requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Mentor junior engineers, setting technical standards through code and design reviews.

Identify and resolve systemic technical or process bottlenecks to enhance developer productivity and codebase sustainability.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.

Possess at least 5 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages.

Have a minimum of 3 years of dedicated experience in mobile app application development.

Demonstrate experience with media editing specifically within a mobile application context.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, along with 5 years of experience in data structures and algorithms, and 1 year in a technical leadership role. Experience developing accessible technologies is also a plus.
