As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you will lead test automation strategy for your SCRUM team, validating application functionality and performance against acceptance criteria. You will play a key role in the continuous validation of web applications and system-to-system interfaces within an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities include designing and developing test automation scripts for API and UI tests, defining test plans and schedules in collaboration with stakeholders, and translating complex requirements into test methodologies. You will identify and implement complex automation efforts, refactor automation code, and integrate quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle, including monitoring and performance testing.

Further duties involve generating test data, preparing test environments, executing test plans, and documenting performance testing strategies. You will participate in project-level reviews, collect quality metrics, report on test status and risks, and collaborate with developers to identify defects. Assisting with planning and documenting test strategies, acceptance criteria, and participating in requirements reviews are also crucial aspects of this role.

You will design, code, and construct automation tests, escalate issues, and provide automation tests for CI/CD quality gates. Exploratory testing, identifying process improvements, acting as a first reviewer for project artifacts, and mentoring junior team members are also expected. You will also conduct demos of new product functionality.

We are looking for an experienced professional with advanced skills in code development, code review, and the construction and utilization of automation frameworks. Proven experience in building robust automation frameworks and acceptance/integration test automation scripts is essential.

You should have a track record of developing high-quality test strategies and executing them successfully. The ability to analyze application logs and utilize basic debugging techniques is required. Successfully validating applications through automation for both new features and regression testing is a key requirement.

Familiarity with Agile testing methodologies, unit and integration testing, and data virtualization tools is necessary. A foundational understanding of validation techniques and Continuous Testing principles is expected. Experience with UI automation frameworks, tools, and techniques for various interfaces (mobile, portal, web) is also important.

This role requires the ability to mentor peers and guide less experienced team members effectively.
