As part of the Platforms and Devices team, you will contribute to building seamless and faster computing experiences across various platforms, including desktop, mobile, and applications. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping our first-party devices and services, integrating Google's advanced AI, software, and hardware capabilities.

Your technical leadership will guide project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, ensuring the successful design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of robust software solutions.

You will be responsible for writing and testing product or system development code. Engaging in design reviews with peers and stakeholders, you will help select optimal technologies. Providing constructive feedback on code developed by others is crucial for maintaining best practices in style, accuracy, testability, and efficiency. Furthermore, you'll contribute to documentation and adapt content based on product updates and user feedback, while also triaging and resolving product or system issues by analyzing their root causes and impact.

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is required, coupled with a minimum of 5 years in software development using one or more programming languages. You'll also need 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products, alongside 1 year of experience in software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, and 8 years of experience in Software Engineering. Experience developing accessible technologies is highly desirable.
