As an integral part of the Search team, you'll tackle complex engineering challenges to enhance our infrastructure and maintain an accessible, reliable search experience globally. Craft and rigorously test product and system development code. Lead and participate in design reviews, evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies with stakeholders. Conduct thorough code reviews for peers, ensuring adherence to best practices in style, efficiency, and testability. Contribute to and update technical documentation and educational materials. Analyze and resolve product or system issues by debugging and tracking down the root causes impacting operations and quality.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required. We seek candidates with a minimum of 5 years in software development using various programming languages. Demonstrated experience of 3 years in testing, maintaining, or launching software products is essential. A minimum of 1 year of experience in software design and architecture is necessary.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field. Candidates with 5 years of experience in data structures and algorithms will be highly regarded. Experience in a technical leadership role for at least 1 year is a plus. Experience developing accessible technologies is also preferred.
