This role is within our Core Payments team, responsible for developing critical functionalities like Authorization, Clearing, and Debit. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Mainframe Development to create cutting-edge solutions and contribute to the success of our payment systems.
As a Senior Mainframe Developer, you will design and develop high-performance software solutions that precisely meet business requirements. You will be responsible for maintaining and presenting project-related metrics for management review, acting as a Technical Lead to propose effective solutions to the team. This role also involves spearheading initiatives for automation, defect metrics, and overall quality improvements. Additionally, you will coordinate effectively between teams located in various regions to ensure project success.
Key responsibilities include: - Leading automation and quality initiatives. - Managing project schedules and tracking deliverables. - Coordinating with internal teams and external vendors for project success. - Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
We are looking for an experienced individual with a strong background in batch and online development on mainframe platforms. Proficiency in COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, PROC, Micro Focus COBOL, and TWS Scheduler is essential. Experience with DB2 LUW and CI/CD practices is highly valued.
Desirable qualifications include: - Hands-on experience with software development lifecycles, including Agile methodologies. - Understanding of the payments and cards industry. - Exposure to Java/J2EE and Spring Boot is considered an advantage. - A results-oriented mindset with a focus on automation and code quality. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to guide teams towards implementing optimal solutions.
