This role focuses on the complete software development lifecycle, from initial analysis and design through to development and delivery. You will be instrumental in defining requirements for new applications and customizations, ensuring adherence to MasterCard’s stringent standards, processes, and best practices. The position involves developing, customizing, and testing applications to seamlessly integrate with MasterCard’s ecosystem, while also providing vital leadership and technical mentorship to your colleagues.

Take ownership of planning, designing, and developing innovative technical solutions that align with business needs and MasterCard standards. Lead daily system development and maintenance to ensure service level agreements are met, focusing on high-quality, cost-effective, and time-efficient delivery.

Manage the entire systems development lifecycle, producing high-quality documentation including requirements, use-cases, and detailed test strategies. This includes performance benchmarking, release planning, and contingency planning.

Handle system maintenance, production incident management, root cause analysis, and remediation, participating in on-call rotations. Select appropriate technical frameworks and methodologies, adapting templates as needed, and contribute to technology roadmaps. Engage in research of emerging technologies and participate in Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to guide vendor and technology selections.

Collaborate with vendors for product support and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions on new technologies and frameworks. Promote and enforce Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes, seeking opportunities for process enhancement. Mentor team members throughout the SDLC, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and conducting thorough reviews (requirements, design, code, security) to uphold MasterCard standards. Coordinate offshore development activities and manage daily tasks.

A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is required. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a relevant field is essential.

Experience delivering secure solutions within the Financial Services Sector is highly preferred. A broad understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies is a must. Demonstrated proficiency in MasterCard Core Competencies is expected.
