You will be instrumental in developing advanced capabilities for our Decision Management Platform, a critical system for combating fraud and verifying cardholder identity. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will deliver high-quality software solutions through hands-on development and collaborate closely with technical leads on design and implementation. You will provide essential production support, acting as a Subject Matter Expert to resolve incidents. Your role involves planning, designing, and developing technical solutions that align with Mastercard's stringent standards and best practices.

You will lead daily system development and maintenance activities to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements. A key part of your contribution will be driving innovation, cost-effectiveness, quality, and speed to market. You will own the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements and design to testing, deployment, and feasibility studies. Additionally, you will participate in Proofs of Concept, mentor team members, and conduct code and design reviews to maintain high standards.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual with strong initiative and the ability to work independently under pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with robust collaboration and organizational abilities, are essential. Experience working within a geographically distributed Agile team and a good understanding of Agile software development methodologies are required.

Essential technical skills include development and debugging of J2EE RESTful Web Services and Web Applications, strong database experience with Oracle and SQL scripting, proficiency in the Spring Framework (including Spring Boot), and experience with Maven for build and dependency management. Familiarity with unit testing using JUnit and Mockito, application servers like JBoss and/or Apache Tomcat, and version control using Git are also crucial.
