Key responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and supporting scalable APIs and backend services. You will actively contribute to system design discussions, prioritizing scalability, resilience, and performance. Delivering high-quality, production-ready code throughout the software development lifecycle is essential. This involves troubleshooting and resolving production issues to ensure system stability and reliability.
You will also participate in code reviews, maintaining high engineering standards and best practices. Implementing comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, is crucial. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Product, Architecture, Security, and SRE will be a daily aspect of this role. Enhancing observability, automation, and operational efficiency across services is also a key objective.
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with 3-5 years of professional experience in software engineering. Essential qualifications include strong, hands-on expertise in building cloud-based, distributed backend systems and solid proficiency in API development, scalability, and production support. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to resolve complex technical problems using a structured, pragmatic methodology. A strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), testing practices, and secure coding principles is required.
Proven ability to independently own and deliver components or services is vital. Excellent collaboration and communication skills are a must. Preferred qualifications include experience in payments, banking, or Open Banking (PSD2) environments, familiarity with microservices architectures, and exposure to observability, monitoring, and incident response practices. Experience with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot is a plus.
