As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead and oversee daily activities for technical teams, focusing on improving the user experience and creating more seamless user journeys on the UHG portal. You will ensure compliance with employment contracts, company policies, and directives, adapting to evolving business environments. A key aspect of this role involves leveraging enterprise-approved AI tools to boost productivity and innovation by streamlining workflows and automating repetitive tasks. You will also actively evaluate emerging trends to drive continuous improvement and strategic innovation within the team.

Required Qualifications: - Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Engineering) or equivalent from a reputable engineering college. - Minimum of 7 years of experience in software lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on system design and development using microservice architecture. - Over 2 years of experience with OAUTH, OIDC, and security controls. - Extensive hands-on experience in system design and development. - Experience with React/NodeJs and other UI frameworks. - Proficiency in Kubernetes and automated, codeable deployments. - Knowledge of RESTful services and Spring Boot, deployable on any cloud platform. - Exposure to MySQL/Cassandra or other No-SQL databases. - Familiarity with AWS services, Lambda, and containerization. - Solid understanding of Core Java fundamentals. - Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle. - Strong technical skills in design, coding, and testing. - Demonstrable experience in Site Reliability Engineering and DDoS mitigation techniques. - Knowledge of SANS Top 20 Critical Security Controls and OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.

Preferred Qualifications: - AWS Certifications. - Experience in healthcare industry applications development and support. - Good understanding of SCIM2, U2F/UAF/FIDO2, HOTP, and TOTP. - Working knowledge of containers and orchestration (Kubernetes). - Proficiency in JavaScript and Single Page Applications. - Experience with testing frameworks such as Gatling, Cypress, Selenium/Playwright. - Experience with development methodologies like Agile (SCRUM/KANBAN).
