The IN/SG Payroll Engineering Team operates at the forefront of a high-growth sector, managing complex compliance requirements while developing scalable payroll solutions. We ensure adherence to local labor laws and integrate seamlessly with core HR functions.
Lead the IN/SG Payroll Engineering Team, providing technical vision and collaborating with product and engineering colleagues. Manage the end-to-end IN/SG payroll process, encompassing onboarding, tax calculations, payroll processing, third-party system integrations for filings, POI handling, and challan generation.
Drive multi-team, quarterly goals, ensuring project success and alignment with organizational objectives. Design and implement scalable, clean solutions for complex challenges, acting as a multi-system architecture expert. Debug effectively, manage on-call duties and incidents, and conduct postmortems, prioritizing maintainability, quality, and security.
Contribute to building robust, scalable systems for IN/SG payroll. Write high-quality, maintainable code, enhance our tech stack and processes, and actively participate in code reviews and design discussions. Foster strong stakeholder relationships and serve as a technical liaison to clarify requirements.
Mentor team members, provide and seek feedback, contribute to recruiting efforts, and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
A minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in a dynamic engineering setting is required. Demonstrated experience in building large-scale web application platforms is essential.
Proven ability to lead projects that involve multiple teams and require cross-functional collaboration. Experience mentoring and guiding a small team of engineers is also necessary.
Expertise in Python and Django is a mandatory requirement. Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB is expected.
A strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system design, is crucial. The ability to debug and troubleshoot issues independently is important.
Exposure to frontend development, particularly with JavaScript, would be considered a valuable asset.
