The Creator Support team is dedicated to building scalable systems that assist millions of creators. We leverage advanced technologies, including Generative AI, to provide authoritative data, enhance creator-facing products, and streamline support operations, directly contributing to YouTube's growth. Our team operates autonomously, integrating product management, UX design, and user research to define and execute strategy.

As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will lead engineering efforts, develop robust full-stack products and distributed systems, and pioneer Generative AI innovations. Your focus will always be on delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving the evolution of creator support tools.

Lead a team of software engineers, guiding technical strategy, system architecture, and end-to-end project execution for YouTube Creator Support products.

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable full-stack software systems and Generative AI-powered workflows that serve millions of creators and global support operations.

Collaborate closely with Product Management, User Experience Design, User Research, and other engineering teams to transform product challenges into actionable technical roadmaps.

Maintain rigorous engineering standards through architecture and code reviews, ensuring operational reliability, security, and data privacy.

Mentor and coach fellow software engineers, cultivating technical expertise, a sense of ownership, and a commitment to engineering excellence.

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is required.

Minimum of 5 years of software development experience in at least one programming language is necessary.

Possess at least 3 years of experience in full-stack development, encompassing back-end languages like Java, Python, Golang, or C++, and front-end technologies such as JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.

Demonstrated experience with Generative AI and comprehensive full-stack web development is essential.

Proficiency in programming with C++, Python, or Java is a prerequisite.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, a minimum of 1 year in a technical leadership role, and experience in launching and maintaining software products. Experience with software design and architecture, integrating Generative AI tools or LLM interfaces, and developing accessible technologies is highly valued.
