Lead the design and implementation of critical projects for the YouTube Studio roadmap. Write and test complex product or system development code for multi-faceted client-side components and frameworks. Set a high bar by implementing a significant portion of team designs, emphasizing testability, readability, and resilience. Conduct in-depth technical code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure adherence to best practices in style, accuracy, and efficiency. Champion and enforce high technical standards for scalability, maintainability, and comprehensive testing coverage. Serve as the primary technical liaison for cross-functional partners such as Product, UX, and TPM, translating requirements into actionable technical workplans.
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is required. Possess at least 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages. Demonstrate 3 years of full-stack development experience, encompassing back-end technologies like Java, Python, Golang, or C++, and front-end skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, or CSS. Accumulate 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products. Have 1 year of experience in software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field. Bring 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. Possess 1 year of experience in a technical leadership capacity. Showcase experience in developing accessible technologies.
