We champion the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure, ensuring excellent, secure, and cohesive user experiences. Our mission is to drive innovation across all of Google by developing central solutions, overcoming technical hurdles, and reinforcing existing systems. We are uniquely positioned to influence critical technical decisions across the entire company.

Craft and validate production-ready or system development code. Engage in or lead design reviews with colleagues and stakeholders to evaluate and select appropriate technologies. Provide constructive feedback on code written by fellow developers, ensuring adherence to best practices in areas such as style guidelines, code submission, accuracy, testability, and efficiency. Enhance existing documentation and educational materials, adapting content based on product updates and user feedback. Investigate and resolve product or system issues by analyzing root causes and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required. Possess at least 5 years of programming experience in languages such as Java, C++, Python, C#, or Go. Accumulate 3 years of experience programming in JavaScript or TypeScript. Demonstrate 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products, along with 1 year of experience in software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field. 5 years of experience working with data structures and algorithms is highly desirable. 1 year of experience in a technical leadership capacity is beneficial. Experience developing accessible technologies is a plus.
