As a Senior Software Engineer on the UI Platform team, you will:

- Develop and enhance Rippling's Application Framework and Server-Driven UI (SDUI) platform to enable scalable, consistent user experiences. - Collaborate with over 40 product teams to facilitate the adoption and integration of UI Platform capabilities. - Design and implement reusable frontend platform components, patterns, and abstractions to boost engineering efficiency. - Work closely with Design, Product, and Engineering to translate platform needs into high-quality technical solutions. - Contribute to frontend architecture, performance enhancements, developer tooling, and platform reliability. - Build backend components to support UI configuration, rendering, platform APIs, and internal tools. - Enhance the developer experience for engineers building on Rippling's UI Platform. - Participate actively in technical design, code reviews, testing, and production support. - Leverage AI tools to improve development velocity, code quality, and engineering workflows.

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with 6-9 years of professional software engineering experience, particularly in frontend, platform, or product engineering.

Key qualifications include:

- Strong proficiency in building complex frontend applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks like React. - A solid grasp of frontend architecture, component design, state management, performance, accessibility, testing, and maintainability. - Proven experience in developing reusable UI systems, internal platforms, frontend infrastructure, or developer-facing frameworks. - Demonstrated ability to work full-stack, with backend experience in areas such as APIs, services, data modeling, schemas, configuration systems, or platform integrations. - The capability to independently manage projects from inception through execution and iteration. - Excellent collaboration and communication skills, essential for working with diverse product teams and stakeholders. - A keen product and design sensibility to balance platform consistency with product flexibility. - Comfort and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment requiring high ownership. - Practical exposure to AI tools, AI-assisted development, agentic workflows, or automation is highly preferred. - Experience with design systems, SDUI, schema-driven UI, or configuration-driven platforms is a significant advantage.
