As a Senior Software Engineer on the Fabric Networking team, you will contribute to critical projects and have the opportunity to evolve with our fast-paced business. Spearhead the design and architecture of highly scalable network topologies, integrating software control planes with the physical network fabric.
Conduct thorough code reviews for fellow developers, ensuring adherence to best practices in style, integration, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
Develop and implement sophisticated software systems that directly interface with routing protocols, with a deep specialization in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) attributes, path selection, and peering strategies.
Effectively triage and debug product or system issues by analyzing their root causes and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and overall quality.
Engage in close collaboration with hardware vendors to validate and integrate new switch platforms and optical technologies.
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
Possess at least 5 years of experience in software development across one or more programming languages.
Demonstrate 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products, complemented by 1 year of experience in software design and architecture.
Have hands-on experience designing, deploying, or maintaining network architectures and routing protocols.
Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field. Candidates with 5 years of experience in data structures and algorithms, and at least 1 year in a technical leadership role, will be highly considered. Experience designing, deploying, and managing data center network architectures and infrastructure is also advantageous, as is experience troubleshooting data center networking components, protocols (e.g., BGP, EVPN, OSPF), or hardware.
