We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer specializing in Database Development to join our dynamic engineering team in Pune. This role is integral to our globally distributed delivery model, requiring close collaboration with established onshore teams to maintain and enhance mission-critical, high-availability payment systems within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.

As a Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in:

- Embracing Agile Delivery (SAFe Framework): Actively participating in a Scrum team, contributing to sprint planning, efficient execution, and ongoing process improvements. - Fostering Distributed Team Collaboration: Working seamlessly with onshore engineering counterparts to deliver new features, resolve complex defects, and ensure smooth integration throughout the delivery lifecycle. - Driving Application Development & Maintenance: Designing, developing, and maintaining robust solutions across a diverse technology stack. - Ensuring Production Support & Reliability: Providing essential support for critical live systems, guaranteeing optimal performance, resilience, and strict adherence to enterprise standards and security controls. - Championing Continuous Improvement: Contributing to the advancement of engineering best practices, driving automation initiatives, and enhancing processes to elevate delivery efficiency and quality.

We are looking for a technically proficient and collaborative Software Engineer who excels in complex, enterprise-scale environments. Essential qualifications include:

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle database development. - Proven expertise in writing complex PL/SQL solutions. - Hands-on experience with SQL performance tuning, data modeling, data migration, data quality management, and ETL processes. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. - Demonstrated experience supporting production systems with demanding high availability and high-volume requirements. - Experience in implementing automated deployment pipelines and streamlined database release processes. - A strong background working within Agile/Scrum methodologies, with SAFe experience being highly desirable. - Excellent problem-solving abilities coupled with a strong sense of ownership. - The capacity to collaborate effectively across geographically distributed teams.

Desirable additions to your skillset include knowledge of Exadata, Java, test automation, and prior exposure to payment systems or financial services environments, especially in supporting mission-critical, high-availability platforms.
