Our Benefits Vertical encompasses a robust Benefits Platform for recommendations and eligibility, a diverse Benefits Marketplace with over 100 partners, and natively built Rippling Benefits Products. The engineering team within this vertical is dedicated to creating scalable, innovative solutions that will define the future of benefits administration. You'll have the chance to tackle challenging projects, contribute to significant advancements, and shape the trajectory of benefits at Rippling.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will craft and maintain high-performance, secure, and robust solutions that are customer-centric and innovative. You'll independently drive the delivery of major features and enhancements, collaborating with the team on larger architectural projects. Your role involves solving complex technical challenges, translating high-level business requirements into detailed software designs, and effectively communicating these designs to fellow developers.

You will also be instrumental in reviewing and providing constructive feedback on code, features, technology, and architectural designs, while championing best practices for code quality and testing across your product. Taking ownership of the team's technical roadmap and architecture, you'll mentor junior engineers, fostering their growth and autonomy. As a technical lead for your pod, you will spearhead significant initiatives and gain exposure to business and technical leadership, contributing to strategies that enhance revenue and facilitate rapid scaling.

We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 6 years of programming experience. The ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in performing duties is essential.

Ideally, you possess experience in scaling products from inception to a large user base. Familiarity with our technology stack, including Python, Django, React, MongoDB, AWS, and GoLang, is highly preferred. You should thrive in ambiguous environments by identifying areas for impact and proactively pursuing them, demonstrating an infectious passion for solving real customer pain points.

Essential experience includes building scalable distributed systems and critical platform components that support rapid product scaling. Bonus points for experience with marketplace platforms. This role is based in Bangalore, India, and is a full-time, salaried position.
