The Open Finance Analytics team is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to contribute to our product advancement through continuous innovation and problem-solving. We are looking for an intellectually curious, team-oriented individual passionate about software optimization. The ideal candidate will be adept at tackling projects with unclear requirements, collaborating with stakeholders to develop maintainable, flexible, and scalable solutions.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions aligned with technical specifications. You will collaborate closely with Data Science and Product teams to pinpoint business opportunities, resolve challenges, and implement effective solutions. Your duties will include programming, testing, documenting, and maintaining applications in accordance with Mastercard's established standards, processes, and best practices. Furthermore, you will be encouraged to contribute ideas and actively identify opportunities to elevate team standards and boost operational efficiency.

We are seeking a candidate with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience. A strong foundation in software engineering concepts, methodologies, and best practices is essential. The ability to evaluate and compare various technical solutions to determine the optimal approach for complex problems is crucial. Experience with diverse architectures and technologies, coupled with the ability to articulate and defend technical decisions, is highly valued. Proficiency in designing intuitive and flexible REST services is required. Familiarity with SQL, Docker, RabbitMQ, Redis, Python, and/or a strong eagerness to learn Golang is necessary. A good understanding of common software development tools and processes, including Git, unit and integration testing, code reviews, documentation, Jira, SCRUM ceremonies, Flyway, and VS Code, is expected.
