We are looking for a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior AI Software Engineer to join our Human Resources Engineering (HRE) team. You will serve as a technical lead, driving the design, development, and deployment of sophisticated AI-powered solutions that significantly impact Google employees.

Work on Google-scale infrastructure, mentor a talented team, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and strategically contribute to the future of HR at Google through innovative AI applications. Translate complex business challenges and strategic objectives into scalable and efficient AI/ML systems.

Lead the technical design and architecture for complex, scalable AI/ML systems and infrastructure within HR engineering, ensuring high reliability, performance, and sustainability.

Drive the development of advanced algorithms for HR applications like talent acquisition and engagement using Python and Google’s internal frameworks (TensorFlow, JAX) to solve critical problems.

Architect robust data pipelines using Google’s infrastructure (e.g., Beam, Dataflow) for large-scale data ingestion, cleaning, and intricate feature engineering. Lead root cause analysis for system troubleshooting.

Own the complete MLOps lifecycle, encompassing deployment, monitoring, and optimization of production models. Establish team-wide best practices for software development processes and high-quality code.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners to translate business needs into actionable technical roadmaps. Provide mentorship to engineers and drive the strategic adoption of emerging AI technologies across the organization.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.

Possess 5 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages.

Demonstrate 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products, coupled with 1 year of experience in software design and architecture.

Have 3 years of experience in at least one of the following: Speech/audio technology, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or another specialized ML field.

Accumulate 3 years of experience with ML infrastructure, including model deployment, evaluation, optimization, data processing, and debugging.

Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related field with a focus on AI/ML.

We seek 7 years of software experience in designing and deploying large-scale AI/ML applications and complex models.

Experience with MLOps, establishing best practices for production model monitoring, maintenance, and lifecycle management is highly valued.

Candidates should have experience leading and mentoring engineers, and translating complex business objectives into scalable AI-driven roadmaps.

Familiarity with architecting scalable data pipelines using BigQuery, Beam, or Dataflow, and deploying models on Google Cloud Platform is a plus.

A solid understanding of Python and frameworks like TensorFlow, JAX, and Scikit-learn, along with deep statistical modeling knowledge, is essential.
