Join Microsoft's Perception team and spearhead the development of a state-of-the-art platform for agentic development within Microsoft Security. This is a groundbreaking opportunity to work on AI innovations, new models, governance, observability, and multi-agent workflows.
Microsoft is dedicated to empowering individuals and organizations globally. Our team operates with a growth mindset, fostering innovation and collaboration to achieve shared objectives. We uphold values of respect, integrity, and accountability, cultivating an inclusive culture where everyone can excel.
Key responsibilities include building and deploying AI agentic and platform components, such as Agents and MCPs for MSEC products. You will actively contribute to high-level and low-level design documents, leveraging AI to streamline complex platform code development while maintaining stringent security, quality, and velocity standards.
This role encompasses end-to-end software engineering, from initial development through deployment, rigorous testing, and ongoing maintenance. A genuine passion for tackling complex platform challenges, particularly in agent development, is essential, along with the ability to think ambitiously, scale rapidly, and deliver results with drive.
Candidates should possess a B.Tech/B.E. or equivalent degree from a recognized engineering institution, complemented by at least 8 years of relevant professional experience. Essential qualifications include driving architectural decisions across multiple engineering teams and influencing product strategy.
Deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices, data storage, and service reliability is crucial. Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Python, or .Net, alongside experience operating services at enterprise scale with robust SLO and reliability requirements, is expected. A solid grasp of APIs, service contracts, authentication, authorization, and security principles is also vital.
Proven experience in leading cross-team technical initiatives, designing cloud-native architectures, and building highly available services is a strong advantage. Familiarity with AI platforms, LLM-based systems, agents, orchestration frameworks, or developer platforms is considered an added benefit.
Successful candidates will be required to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check, upon hire and periodically thereafter.
