This Senior Software Engineer role is within our Cardholder Services, Global Benefits team, focusing on developing next-generation products that enable seamless and secure cardholder benefit access across multiple digital channels. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of digital payments and benefits utilization.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will spearhead the entire software development lifecycle, from analysis and design to development, testing, delivery, and ongoing support. You will be responsible for defining requirements, customizing applications, and driving automation initiatives, all while upholding Mastercard's stringent standards and best practices.

Collaborating within an Agile framework, you will work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams to deliver robust, secure, and high-quality solutions. Key contributions include taking ownership of critical projects, advancing the team's automation strategy, building and enhancing automation frameworks, mentoring junior engineers, participating in code reviews, and continuously improving engineering practices for greater efficiency and quality.

We are seeking experienced engineers with a strong foundation in Java, J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot, coupled with extensive experience in building and consuming REST APIs and Web Services. Proficiency in Playwright, Selenium, and API Automation is essential.

Candidates should possess a deep understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and the SDLC, along with hands-on experience in CI/CD, Git, code reviews, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. The ability to independently drive initiatives, troubleshoot production issues with effective root-cause analysis, and strong communication and mentoring skills are crucial.
