As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing scalable, operable, and highly available applications using the Java J2EE stack. Your responsibilities will include significant code development, conducting code reviews, and providing day-to-day support.

You will ensure product deliverables are performant, responsive, and of high quality, meeting deadlines with minimal defects. A key part of the role involves maintaining high unit test coverage, enhancing code quality, and enabling automation. You'll support testing resources in defect remediation and automation tasks, contributing to the development of comprehensive software solutions, components, and system-to-system interfaces.

Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as Daily Scrum, Story Grooming, Sprint Planning, and Retrospectives. You will engage in team prioritization discussions with Product/Business stakeholders, estimate, and own delivery tasks including design, development, testing, deployment, configuration, and documentation to meet business requirements. Automate build, operate, and run aspects of software, and drive integration of services with a focus on customer journey and experience.

Perform demos and acceptance discussions with Product Owners, and drive the adoption of technology standards and opinionated frameworks. Review the coding, testing, and automation work of team members, and comply with organizational processes and policies. You'll also participate in organization-level process improvements and knowledge sharing. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for working effectively in a global environment, including public speaking as a technology evangelist.

We are seeking a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience. You should possess expert experience in performing code reviews, creating system designs, and mentoring junior developers.

As a recognized subject matter expert, you will lead the planning, design, and implementation of technical solutions. A solid understanding of Design Patterns is required. Strong communication skills are crucial for interacting with business partners and key project contacts.

Knowledge of cloud-native development, such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry, is essential. Extensive experience in designing and developing consumer-facing products is a must-have. Experience with software development methodologies, particularly Agile/Scrum, is expected. You should have a track record of delivering scalable products through a CI/CD pipeline, deploying on-prem or in public cloud infrastructure, and ensuring full-stack quality via rigorous CI/CD practices throughout the SDLC.
