Join Microsoft's Specialized Cloud-Security Fundamentals team as a Senior Software Engineer. This role focuses on building scalable security engineering solutions that protect internal Microsoft infrastructure and streamline operations for MSC services. You will contribute to critical security initiatives within a dynamic and innovative environment.

This is a full-time, hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in the office. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing robust full-stack systems, adhering to modern engineering best practices with effective coding, unit testing, debugging, and code reviews. You will also establish CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. Translating business requirements into technical specifications and resolving production issues in a timely manner are also crucial aspects of this role.

Additionally, you will be expected to review the work of your peers and contribute to a collaborative team environment. Demonstrating passion and ability in collaborating with external teams, partners, and customers is highly valued.

A Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, coupled with at least 6 years of technical engineering experience and proficiency in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python is required. Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 8+ years of relevant experience will be considered.

Significant experience, 8+ years, in cloud services with a focus on full-stack back-end development is essential. Familiarity with the Security Development Lifecycle and Secure Coding practices is a must. Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, RAG, and secure GenAI deployment in regulated environments is highly desirable.

We seek candidates with experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages including C#, ReactJS, JavaScript, and PowerShell. A proven ability to collaborate effectively with external stakeholders is also a key requirement.
