This Senior Software Engineer role is pivotal in analyzing, designing, developing, and delivering robust software solutions. You will be responsible for defining requirements, adhering to MasterCard's high standards, and integrating applications seamlessly. A key aspect of this role involves providing leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to your team members.

You will plan, design, and develop technical solutions that meet business needs while upholding MasterCard's standards and best practices. Leading daily system development and maintenance activities is crucial to meeting service level agreements. This includes creating high-quality documentation for requirements, use cases, design, and technical artifacts. You will also be responsible for system maintenance, incident management, root cause analysis, and providing on-call support.

Further responsibilities include researching and evaluating emerging technologies, participating in Proofs of Concept (PoCs), and collaborating with vendors. You will share knowledge through brownbag sessions and provide technical training to other team members. Promoting quality assurance, process efficiency, and mentoring colleagues throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) are integral to this position. Ensuring adequate test coverage and conducting quality inspections are also key duties.

We are seeking a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience is required.

Experience in delivering secure solutions within the Financial Services Sector is highly preferred. A broad understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies is essential for this role. Candidates should be high-energy, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently under pressure. A strong sense of initiative, self-motivation, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. The ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse, geographically distributed team and a willingness to embrace challenging opportunities are vital.
