The Global Product Engineering team is at the forefront of developing foundational payment solutions, focusing on bringing security, convenience, and control to the digital payments landscape. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic and motivated team.

As a Senior Software Engineer, your core responsibilities will involve designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. You will deploy and manage applications on PCF and/or Kubernetes, and develop engaging user interfaces with modern front-end frameworks like Angular or React. Your role includes participating in technology evaluations, writing clean and well-documented code, and collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality products. You'll also contribute to code reviews, troubleshoot complex technical issues, ensure comprehensive test coverage, and influence architectural decisions. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers and actively participate in an Agile development environment.

In Quality Engineering & Automation, you'll develop automation solutions using Java, Spring, and relevant frameworks, designing and maintaining automation frameworks and reusable utilities. You will create technical artifacts, identify testing gaps, and collaborate with engineering teams to address them. You will also participate in defect triage and release readiness reviews.

Regarding Security, Reliability & Operations, you will apply secure coding practices, support vulnerability identification, and ensure production readiness through effective logging, monitoring, and incident analysis. Your contributions will help enhance application reliability, observability, and operational excellence.

We are looking for candidates with 6 to 9 years of experience in Full Stack Software Development. Essential qualifications include strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, along with experience in designing and developing microservices. Familiarity with PCF, Kubernetes, Docker, or other cloud-native platforms is required. A solid understanding of front-end development principles and hands-on experience with Angular and/or React are necessary, complemented by proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

You should possess hands-on experience with Java, Spring, JUnit, Rest Assured, JBehave, Cucumber, or equivalent testing frameworks, and demonstrate strong experience validating APIs, microservices, web services, web applications, databases, and integration workflows. Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL, including writing optimized SQL queries, is crucial. The ability to design and develop RESTful APIs and an understanding of information security concepts (X.509 certificates, public key cryptography, JWT, hashing algorithms, digital signatures) are also required.

Exceptional problem-solving skills across application, integration, data, and infrastructure layers are expected. A strong passion for engineering excellence, continuous improvement, automation, and building reliable software at scale is key. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team is vital.

Experience with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), DevOps practices and tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD), or contributions to open-source projects are considered advantageous. Experience in payment technologies, digital identity, authentication, or security-focused solutions is a plus.
