Contribute to a new AWS organization focused on building large-scale distributed applications from the ground up. Utilize cutting-edge technologies and frameworks such as reactive microservices, serverless computing, and distributed NoSQL data stores.
Key responsibilities include: - Developing extensible solutions to intricate architectural and business problems. - Writing high-quality, modular, functional, and testable code. - Providing formal mentorship to junior engineers on design, coding, and troubleshooting. - Effectively communicating and collaborating within a global environment.
We are seeking seasoned software development professionals with a minimum of 5 years of non-internship experience in software development. A strong background in programming with at least one software language is essential.
This role requires extensive experience (5+ years) in leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, encompassing patterns, reliability, and scaling. Prior experience as a mentor, tech lead, or in leading an engineering team is also a key requirement.
Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is advantageous. Experience in building and successfully delivering complex software systems to customers, along with leading architecture and design for new and existing systems, is highly valued.
