This role is within a new AWS organization focused on building large-scale distributed applications from the ground up. You'll utilize cutting-edge technologies like reactive microservices, serverless computing, and distributed NoSQL data stores to create extensible solutions for complex architectural and business problems.

Design and develop large-scale distributed applications using modern technologies such as reactive microservices, serverless computing, and distributed NoSQL data stores.
Solve intricate architectural and business challenges, creating robust and extensible solutions.
Write high-quality, modular, functional, and testable code.
Provide formal mentorship to junior engineers in areas of design, coding best practices, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate effectively with global teams to achieve project goals.
Possess at least 5 years of professional software development experience (non-internship).
Demonstrate 5+ years of programming expertise in at least one software language.
Have 5+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including considerations for reliability and scaling.
Bring experience as a mentor, tech lead, or in leading engineering teams.
(Preferred) Have 5+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
(Preferred) Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
(Preferred) Experience in building and successfully delivering complex software systems to customers.
(Preferred) Proven experience leading the architecture and design of new and current systems, focusing on reliability and scaling.
