Lead the design and architecture of robust distributed tax processing services and microservices, ensuring they can handle billions of transactions with exceptional security, performance, and reliability across various Amazon business units.

Develop and implement extensible, scalable, and resilient solutions that seamlessly integrate critical functions like withholding tax processing, financial data management, and global tax requirements with existing enterprise systems.

Collaborate closely with finance, tax, and business stakeholders to deeply understand regulatory mandates and translate these into effective technical solutions that facilitate the launch of new markets and business models.

Provide strong technical leadership by actively mentoring fellow engineers, conducting thorough code reviews, and establishing industry-leading best practices for building service-oriented, serverless, and secure architectures.

A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships. Proficiency in at least one core software programming language is essential.

Demonstrated experience of 5+ years in leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including a strong understanding of design patterns, reliability, and scaling principles.

Proven experience as a mentor, tech lead, or in leading an engineering team.

Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of experience across the full software development life cycle, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
