Join Amazon's People eXperience and Technology (PXT) organization as a Senior Software Development Engineer, focusing on conversational AI to transform HR interactions. You will be instrumental in shaping the technical direction and development of our generative AI platform, a critical area experiencing rapid technological advancement.

Our AI-powered HR assistant supports Amazon employees globally, simplifying their access to HR information and processes. We are actively expanding its capabilities by integrating more HR functions, enhancing its intelligence with each interaction, and prioritizing operational excellence to ensure accuracy, low latency, and high quality, thereby fostering employee trust.

Architect, design, and implement robust production AI systems, taking ownership of technical strategy and execution.

Lead the development of our generative AI platform, driving innovation and ensuring its scalability and reliability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring new HR experiences into conversational workflows and build advanced platform features.

Focus on operational fundamentals, including accuracy, latency, and quality, to enhance user trust and satisfaction.

A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships.

Proficiency in at least one programming language, with 5+ years of hands-on experience.

Proven experience of 5+ years in leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including expertise in design patterns, reliability, and scaling.

Demonstrated experience as a mentor, technical lead, or in leading an engineering team.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
