Join our dynamic team as a Senior Software Developer focused on Cloud Platform Engineering. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and enhancing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-native solutions within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

This role involves working on critical Data Plane and Control Plane components of Oracle's IoT platform. You'll blend hands-on software engineering with cloud infrastructure automation, container orchestration, and production troubleshooting, contributing to a robust and efficient platform. Collaboration with engineering, QA, and DevOps teams is key to improving reliability, optimizing performance, and delivering exceptional software.

We are looking for a candidate with solid Java development experience, proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes, strong infrastructure automation skills, and practical experience operating software in cloud environments.

Design, develop, and enhance software components for Oracle's OCI IoT platform Data Plane and Control Plane. Develop, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with tools like Terraform or Ansible. Build and optimize Java-based software components and APIs, ensuring adherence to design principles and secure coding practices. Diagnose and resolve production issues across applications, infrastructure, and networking. Implement cloud security best practices and contribute to system reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enhancements and improve engineering standards. Take ownership of engineering deliverables and contribute to architecture decisions.

BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of software industry experience, with at least 3 years in a senior developer or technical leadership role. Proficiency in Java and Python, including software design principles, concurrency, debugging, and best practices. Strong hands-on expertise with Docker and Kubernetes, including deployment and troubleshooting. Practical experience automating infrastructure using Terraform or Ansible. Experience with at least one major cloud platform: OCI, AWS, or Azure. Ability to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and optimize scalable software components and APIs. Proven ability to diagnose and resolve production issues. Working knowledge of cloud networking and cloud security best practices.
