You will be instrumental in supporting the reliability, scalability, performance, and operational lifecycle of Autonomous Database Serverless (ADBS) infrastructure and services. The position demands profound expertise in Oracle RAC, Exadata, OCI, database and infrastructure upgrades, incident response, automation, capacity management, and production troubleshooting, including cross-layer analysis of Exadata and OS issues.

Design, operate, and enhance highly reliable and scalable infrastructure for Autonomous Database Serverless (ADBS). Administer and optimize high-availability Oracle database environments using Oracle RAC and ASM, ensuring service health, performance, capacity, and reliability. Manage the complete Exadata lifecycle, encompassing infrastructure upgrades, storage expansion, and regular patching across various Exadata generations. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues across Exadata hardware, database, network, and OS layers, including incident response and root cause analysis. Leverage Exadata features and database performance techniques like SQL tuning, Smart Scans, Storage Indexes, and Hybrid Columnar Compression (HCC) to boost performance and efficiency. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Python, or Ansible for infrastructure provisioning, database operations, monitoring, and routine maintenance. Collaborate with development and cross-functional teams to evaluate infrastructure changes, capacity needs, deployment impacts, and reliability risks. Participate in on-call rotations, performance reporting, technical analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on service reliability and SLOs.

Demonstrated hands-on experience with Oracle RAC and ASM in production settings. Proficiency in managing and optimizing Oracle databases on Exadata physical infrastructure. Proven track record with Exadata infrastructure upgrades and patching, including full lifecycle management across multiple generations. Practical experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is required. Ability to effectively troubleshoot issues spanning Exadata and operating-system layers. Experience in production incident response, technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, post-mortems, and on-call support. Experience in capacity, health, and performance management for database and infrastructure services. Skilled in developing operational automation using Shell scripting, Python, or Ansible. Expertise in Oracle database performance tuning, including SQL tuning and Exadata-specific features like Smart Scans, Storage Indexes, and HCC. Experience supporting highly available database/infrastructure environments and collaborating with software/development teams.
