We seek a curious and detail-oriented individual to monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts. Your primary function involves 24x7 alert triage, distinguishing genuine threats from routine activity, assessing their impact, and executing appropriate actions. As you grow, you'll contribute to incident response, detection engineering, threat intelligence, and continuous security improvement projects.

Key responsibilities include comprehensive security monitoring, alert triage, and response across various platforms like SIEM, EDR, and cloud security tools. You will correlate logs, assess alert validity and impact, and execute response playbooks, escalating complex issues as needed. Maintaining clear documentation and collaborating with cross-functional teams are crucial. Additionally, you'll support incident response efforts, contribute to post-incident reviews, and identify opportunities for automation and workflow enhancement. Developing, testing, and tuning detection rules, and applying threat intelligence to investigations are also integral parts of this role.

We are looking for candidates with a foundational understanding of security operations, common attack vectors, and incident investigation techniques. Familiarity with Windows, Linux, networking, authentication, and enterprise or cloud services is essential. Practical experience with security alerts, logs, and tools such as SIEM or EDR is highly valued. Strong analytical judgment, the ability to follow procedures, and excellent communication skills are required. This position involves scheduled shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Typically, 1-4 years of relevant experience in security operations or IT operations is expected, though strong internships, projects, or equivalent practical experience are also encouraged. A degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is required.
