As a Senior SAP ABAP Consultant, you will act as the primary technical expert, ensuring rapid identification and resolution of application issues. Your responsibilities include developing detailed project plans, creating accurate estimates, and transforming business requirements into robust technical specifications. You will be responsible for coding, testing, and debugging complex programs, including unit, system, integration, and acceptance tests.

Key duties also involve performing performance tuning to optimize application performance, collaborating with technical teams on solution design and deployment, and ensuring the technical architecture meets all service level agreements (SLAs). You will manage operational support, including change windows and on-call duties, and mentor junior developers. Providing consulting services for new and ongoing initiatives is also a core part of this role.

To excel in this role, a minimum of 8 years of experience in SAP ABAP is essential, alongside strong object-oriented programming skills. Proficiency in SAP Fiori development (at least 1 year), SAP Gateway development, and experience with SAP HANA are required.

Excellent communication and analytical skills are a must, with the ability to clearly articulate technical specifications. Experience with retail industry applications, HCP, or Java, as well as the ability to write functional specifications, are considered significant advantages. The capacity to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously is crucial for success in this demanding role.
