The Global Government & Public Sector (GPS) practice at EY collaborates with public sector entities to address critical challenges and drive digital transformation. We help clients re-imagine their operations, governance, and culture to improve public services and build a better world.
Key responsibilities include conducting detailed research on approvals, licenses, and compliance obligations across various sectors and states. You will map regulatory requirements, document legal bases, and maintain structured databases for approvals and compliances.
Develop business-friendly KYA questions based on regulatory findings, designing applicability criteria and branching logic. This involves creating sector-specific questionnaires and supporting the testing of recommendation outputs.
Track regulatory changes, assess their implications on existing systems, and update recommendation logic and compliance databases. You will also manage version control and audit records for all changes.
Engage in consultations with government ministries, regulators, and industry associations, organizing workshops and consolidating stakeholder feedback. Support issue resolution arising from these consultations.
Generate sector and state-wise insights through data analytics, preparing analytical reports and dashboards. Contribute to the development of strategic intelligence products and provide recommendations for stakeholders.
Participate in validation and testing exercises, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and verify the accuracy and completeness of approval mappings, ensuring consistency across all KYA packages.
Candidates must possess a postgraduate degree in Public Policy, Economics, Management, Law, Governance, Public Administration, or a related field, alongside a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
We require a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including expertise in Ease of Doing Business reforms, regulatory analysis, compliance management, government advisory, or policy consulting. Experience working with government ministries, state governments, or regulatory agencies is highly desirable.
Essential skills include strong regulatory and policy research capabilities, in-depth knowledge of compliance mapping and process analysis, and experience in government and industry stakeholder engagement. Proficiency in analytical thinking, report writing, data management, and documentation is crucial.
Candidates should be adept at using Excel, Power BI, and dashboarding tools, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills. An agile, curious, and creative approach to solving complex problems is highly valued.
