As a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction, and advisory services, EY fosters a culture of growth and development. We believe in empowering individuals to build fulfilling careers, offering limitless potential and motivating experiences. This Senior Project Consultant role focuses on driving transformation within the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector, specifically within Business Consulting, focusing on Finance.
The TMT industry is undergoing significant evolution, presenting both opportunities and challenges for organizations. EY's Business Consulting team helps TMT companies navigate these changes by enhancing employee and customer experiences, achieving operational excellence, managing data and brand reputation, and supporting strategic M&A activities. We are dedicated to building a better working world through innovation and people-centric solutions.
Our client-centric approach within EY Consulting drives long-term value by solving complex strategic problems. The Business Consulting service line encompasses areas like Performance Improvement, Risk Consulting, Technology Consulting, and People Advisory Services. Within this, Finance Consulting assists clients in assessing and transforming their finance functions for improved performance, implementing service and cost initiatives, and embedding a performance management culture. Business Transformation focuses on redesigning business models and executing large-scale, multi-year programs. Supply Chain and Operations provides strategic, operational, and financial insights to drive performance improvements, cost competitiveness, and operational resilience.
This role involves converting business priorities into actionable operating plans, ensuring clear service objectives and team goals. You will own end-to-end delivery for assigned finance processes, guaranteeing service levels, quality, accuracy, and timeliness. Monitoring operational performance through KPIs, conducting root-cause analysis, and providing transparent updates to leadership are key.
You will lead one or more finance domains, including Record to Report (RTR), Procure to Pay (PTP), Order to Cash (OTC), Treasury, Controllership, and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). Responsibilities include overseeing financial close, general ledger management, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, reporting, and balance-sheet integrity for RTR/Controllership. For PTP, this involves managing invoice processing, controls, vendor queries, and payments. OTC responsibilities include billing, cash application, collections, credit management, and dispute resolution. Treasury oversight covers cash positioning, liquidity, banking operations, and forecasting. FP&A duties include planning, budgeting, forecasting, and providing performance insights.
Ensuring processes align with company policies, accounting standards, and internal control frameworks is crucial. Maintaining robust process documentation, identifying financial and operational risks, and implementing corrective actions are also vital. Promoting a strong controls and compliance culture while balancing governance and efficiency is expected.
You will drive simplification, standardization, automation, and productivity improvements, using data and process insights to remove non-value-added activities and enhance customer experience. Partnering with technology teams on system implementations and continuous improvement programs is essential.
Building trusted relationships with various stakeholders, including business finance, operations, procurement, sales, tax, legal, technology, banks, vendors, customers, and auditors, is paramount. Facilitating governance reviews, resolving escalations, and communicating trade-offs clearly are core duties. Acting as a change leader during organizational, process, and technology transformations is also required.
Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing team with clear accountability and performance expectations is integral. Planning staffing, hiring, onboarding, succession, and capability development in line with business needs is essential. Creating an inclusive, collaborative, and learning-oriented environment that supports engagement, retention, and internal mobility is a priority.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and have 5-8 years of relevant work experience. We are seeking individuals who can collaborate effectively to deliver services across multiple client departments, adhering to commercial and legal requirements. A practical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to deliver insightful and practical solutions, is essential.
We look for candidates who are agile, curious, mindful, and can maintain positive energy. Adaptability and creativity in your approach to challenges are highly valued. As part of EY, you will have access to personalized career journeys, extensive learning resources, and opportunities to work alongside market leaders. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment that balances excellent client service with individual career growth and well-being.
