This Senior Project Consultant role is within our TMT (Technology, Media & Entertainment, and Telecommunications) and CNS-BC-FINANCE Business Consulting practice in Chennai. This role involves overseeing the Procure to Pay (PTP) process end-to-end, from invoice processing and vendor queries to payments and exception resolution. You will lead and mentor a team, monitor service performance, and maintain effective controls. Key responsibilities include analyzing accounts payable reports to identify trends and support management decisions.

You will also be responsible for supervising, mentoring, and training PTP Specialists, delegating tasks, and fostering a collaborative team environment. This includes ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, T&E claims, and payment requests, while also identifying and implementing process improvements.

Compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements is crucial. You'll participate in audits, stay updated on accounting regulations, and analyze PTP data to recommend corrective actions. As a point of escalation, you'll resolve complex issues and work with IT to maintain and improve the accounts payable system.

We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor of Commerce, Master of Commerce, or MBA, coupled with 5-8 years of experience in Procure to Pay (PTP) processes. A strong understanding of invoice validation, PO matching, reconciliations, and exception handling is essential.

Demonstrated experience in supervising PTP delivery, managing invoices and vendors, and resolving supplier queries is required. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, commercially focused with a strong client service approach, and confident in building both internal and external relationships.

Well-organized with excellent prioritization skills and a flexible attitude are key. Proficiency in ERP platforms, advanced Microsoft Excel, and strong reporting skills are necessary. You must possess a deep knowledge of end-to-end Accounts Payable processes and the ability to manage supplier queries and meet service-level agreements.
