With the evolution to VMware Cloud Foundation 9, GCVE is becoming a self-managed solution, offering enhanced customer control and flexibility. This position requires a creative and analytical product leader experienced in large-scale compute, VMware infrastructure, and emerging technologies to guide customer transitions to this new model.

As a Senior Product Manager for Google Cloud Compute, you will be instrumental in building and scaling new customer experiences to ensure smooth transitions for mission-critical production workloads across diverse infrastructure environments. You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams across multiple GCP organizations to achieve product objectives and drive the roadmap.

Your role will involve deeply understanding partner dynamics and identifying industry trends for workload and hardware innovation. You will leverage data-driven insights to prioritize engineering initiatives, maximizing return on investment. Close collaboration with peers across all layers of the cloud stack is essential for success.

We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 8 years of experience in product management or a comparable technical field. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.

Demonstrated success in taking technical products from conception to launch is crucial, evidenced by at least 3 years of experience in this area. Additionally, 3 years of experience developing or launching products/technologies within cloud, SaaS, enterprise solutions, internal tools, or supply chain networks is necessary.

Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with cloud-based services and infrastructure, as well as a proven ability to work cross-functionally with executive stakeholders in global organizations. Expertise in hybrid cloud architectures, particularly with VMware environments and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE) or similar technologies, is highly valued. Strong communication and influencing skills, coupled with excellent narrative and storytelling abilities, are essential for driving adoption and market momentum.
