Join the Windows + Devices Fundamentals team and shape the future of Windows performance, power efficiency, and reliability. This is a hands-on technical Product Manager position. You'll be expected to dive deep into data, understand service dynamics, and directly link platform advancements to improved customer experiences. Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for a key data and services product area, prioritizing reusable capabilities to address common engineering challenges.

Develop requirements for the entire data lifecycle, including ingestion, transformation, storage, and APIs, ensuring data integrity, privacy, and accessibility for downstream users.

Establish clear metric definitions and analytical frameworks to investigate performance trends and guide strategic investments.

Collaborate with engineering on service health, including objectives, observability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness, while balancing new features with operational stability.

Define measurable targets for key Windows outcomes like responsiveness and battery life, connecting insights to actionable engineering improvements.

Align cross-functional teams (engineering, data science, security, partner PMs) on project scope, dependencies, and trade-offs to ensure successful delivery.

Drive the adoption of self-service diagnostics and AI-assisted analysis tools to enhance early issue detection and reduce manual effort.

Provide technical leadership by clearly communicating complex findings and fostering a collaborative environment for knowledge sharing and mentorship.

A Bachelor's Degree combined with at least 5 years of experience in product/service/program management or software development is required. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, alongside 5+ years in product management, program management, software engineering, or data engineering. Experience leading data platform or analytics product initiatives from inception to adoption is highly valued.

Demonstrated hands-on proficiency with SQL, Kusto Query Language (KQL), or similar tools for analyzing large datasets and informing product decisions is essential. A strong understanding of data pipelines, service dependencies, operational trade-offs, and translating customer needs into measurable outcomes is expected.

Familiarity with system performance, power efficiency, reliability, and connecting technical metrics to customer experience is beneficial. Experience with telemetry, cohort design, experimentation, or data quality systems is a plus. Knowledge of Windows, operating systems, devices, or hardware-software interactions that impact performance is advantageous.

Experience with data platforms like Kusto or Azure, production service operations (monitoring, incident learning, SLOs, cost optimization), and managing privacy, security, and access control for data products are preferred. The ability to align multiple teams and translate ambiguous technical problems into actionable roadmaps with measurable results is crucial. Experience evaluating automation or AI-assisted analysis for engineering workflows, including accuracy and adoption, is also desirable.
