This role offers a significant opportunity to lead crucial Fundamentals initiatives from inception to completion. You will identify key customer and product outcomes, establish clear success metrics, and collaborate across engineering and product teams to drive scalable, lasting improvements. Your work will span organizational and geographical boundaries, bringing clarity to complex technical challenges and guiding teams in making informed trade-offs to enhance the overall Windows user experience.

Develop and refine product strategies, priorities, and roadmaps for major Fundamentals initiatives, driven by customer needs, product objectives, and technical feasibility.

Establish key performance indicators and guardrails, leveraging telemetry and qualitative feedback to uncover opportunities and translate insights into actionable product improvements.

Lead complex projects, managing milestones, dependencies, and risks while ensuring high-quality, sustained improvements.

Represent diverse customer scenarios and device configurations, ensuring product decisions align with real-world needs and inclusive design principles.

Partner on tools, platforms, and engineering mechanisms that enhance product visibility, accelerate learning cycles, and prevent regressions.

Effectively communicate technical findings, priorities, and trade-offs to stakeholders at all levels, influencing decisions without direct authority.

Contribute to raising the standard of product thinking and execution through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mentorship.

A Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, service management, program management, or software development is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This role necessitates meeting specific Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including a Microsoft Cloud Background Check.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, with extensive experience in product or program management, software engineering, or a comparable technical role. Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional initiatives from definition to delivery, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and experience with system software, platforms, or complex technical products are highly valued.

Proficiency in defining product strategy, translating it into executable plans, and experience with telemetry, diagnostics, experimentation, or quality systems are beneficial. Proven ability to build trusted partnerships, drive team alignment across disciplines and geographies, and communicate complex topics clearly to diverse audiences are essential. A strong sense of customer empathy and a passion for building inclusive, reliable, and globally scaled products are key.
