Join Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) as a Senior Platform Software Engineer and play a pivotal role in developing a cutting-edge artifact management platform. This system is fundamental to OCI's internal libraries, build artifacts, and critical workflows for build, deployment, and security patching.
This role offers the opportunity to design, build, and maintain a highly available, scalable, and reliable artifact management system. You will take ownership of key components that manage, migrate, update, replicate, and serve build artifacts at OCI's immense scale. Collaboration with service teams, CI/CD stakeholders, and platform partners is essential to ensure seamless integration, operational resilience, and future scalability.
Architect and implement robust, scalable service components designed to handle substantial request volumes, large artifact datasets, and stringent availability requirements.
Drive strategies and develop tooling for large-scale migration of historical artifacts from legacy systems to the new platform, prioritizing data consistency, integrity, and minimal disruption.
Develop and maintain integrations between the artifact management platform and OCI's CI/CD workflows and deployment systems.
Take technical ownership of critical areas, actively participate in design discussions, make sound implementation decisions, mentor junior engineers, and deliver high-quality code and design reviews.
Contribute to monitoring, alerting, rollout processes, disaster recovery planning, and reliability best practices to ensure the platform's safe operation at OCI scale.
Analyze adoption trends, usage patterns, performance metrics, and operational gaps to drive continuous improvements in scalability, reliability, and customer experience.
Demonstrated experience in building scalable distributed systems.
Solid foundation in cloud infrastructure, with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure experience being a significant advantage.
Proficiency with CI/CD systems, artifact repositories, build systems, or developer productivity platforms.
Experience in data migration, ensuring data consistency, and implementing production rollout strategies.
Exceptional ownership, technical judgment, collaboration capabilities, and mentoring skills are essential for this individual contributor role. You will be instrumental in developing OCI’s Artifact Management System and facilitating the migration of artifacts from existing legacy systems. This position demands deep hands-on engineering expertise, sound technical decision-making, and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams on complex platform initiatives.
