As a Senior Platform Software Engineer, you will take ownership of moderately complex components within our platform services or SDKs. Your role will involve leading team-level enhancements to integration frameworks and developer tooling. You will conduct in-depth debugging across a defined set of distributed services, ensuring fixes that safeguard downstream consumers and upgrade paths.

Analysis of usage, performance, and error budgets for specific platform surfaces will be a key part of your responsibilities, enabling you to implement targeted resilience and capacity optimizations. Furthermore, you will be responsible for authoring and curating documentation, samples, and adoption guidance for the team.

Key responsibilities include owning and evolving bounded platform components (service modules, SDK areas) for multi-tenant use, and performing deep debugging across a limited-service graph to drive compatibility-safe remediation plans. You will implement targeted resilience/capacity patterns and document adoption guidance for team consumers.

In software development, you will design software solutions, analyze requirements, and adhere to/suggest improvements for the software development lifecycle. This includes developing new features, leading code reviews, conducting debugging and troubleshooting, and implementing software testing, quality assurance, and observability. You will also exercise judgment for performance profiling and optimization, and troubleshoot API functionality and integration issues.

Architecturally, you will design and develop software, systems, and services aligned with pre-defined system architecture, developing a working knowledge of best practices. Collaboration with team leads will ensure alignment with software architecture. You will also implement performance optimization and scalability strategies.

For issue/defect collaboration, you will understand customer issues, provide technical guidance, coach/mentor others, and influence the team for customer satisfaction. You will also implement customer issue handling and training processes and investigate product maintenance issues.

Regarding practices and standards, you will collaborate to establish and follow development practices, ensure code quality, keep up-to-date with industry best practices, and implement secure coding practices.

In development operations, you will perform periodic maintenance and testing operations, drive improvements, and ensure automation, testing, and debugging for service/product availability and reliability.

This role demands independent management of work, monitoring timelines, and proactive prioritization. You will collaborate across teams to achieve shared objectives and build a comprehensive understanding of business and customer needs to foster effective partnerships.
