Join our team as a Senior Platform Software Engineer and take ownership of critical components within our platform services and SDKs. You will drive team-level enhancements in integration frameworks and developer tooling, while performing in-depth debugging across distributed services to ensure stability for downstream consumers and upgrade paths. Analyze usage, performance, and error budgets to implement targeted resilience and capacity optimizations. You will also be responsible for authoring and curating essential documentation, samples, and adoption guidance for the team.
Key responsibilities include owning and evolving bounded platform components, performing deep debugging across limited-service graphs, and implementing resilience and capacity patterns. You will design software solutions, analyze requirements, and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle. Leading code reviews, conducting debugging and troubleshooting, and implementing software testing are also core duties. Additionally, you'll exercise judgment in performance profiling, optimize code, and troubleshoot API functionality and integration. You will also design and develop software aligned with system architecture, collaborate on architecture decisions, and implement performance optimization and scalability strategies. Engaging with teams and potentially customers to resolve issues, providing technical guidance, and mentoring others are vital. You will also ensure secure coding practices and perform system maintenance, including upgrades and patching, while driving automation and testing for service availability and reliability.
This role requires a strong ability to independently manage work, monitor timelines, and adapt to shifting resources or timelines. Collaboration across teams is essential for aligning expectations and achieving shared objectives, requiring a comprehensive understanding of business and customer needs. You must be adept at identifying and addressing standard and non-standard issues, analyzing data from multiple sources for troubleshooting, and contributing to knowledge sharing. Embracing continuous learning, actively seeking new skills and tools, and staying current with industry trends are crucial.
